Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) has completed an initial seven-trench sampling program over the Kameelburg carbonatite at the Kameelburg Rare Earth Elements (REE) and Niobium Project in Namibia, with samples dispatched for expedited assay.
The purpose of the trenching program, which is being expanded, is to evaluate the geochemical anomalies in addition to providing more reliable information for our forthcoming drilling program.
Trenching assays will enhance drill location targeting and improve the understanding around the correlation between the Kameelburg carbonatite magnetic signature and associated content of REE and niobium derived from the rock chip and soil surveys that have been conducted.
Expanded sampling
To enhance the understanding of the conformity of the carbonatite prior to drilling, Aldoro is expanding the trenching program with an additional 15 trenches to be sampled, ranging in length from 75 metres up to 250 metres.
It is expected the expanded trenching program will be completed within the next week.
Kameelburg Project
Kameelburg Project in the Damara Orogenic Belt, is a joint venture with a local businessman with Aldoro holding 85% equity in the partnership.
The project area, which has seen historical exploration, consists of three exploration prospecting licences (EPLs) covering 1,017 square kilometres and contains the Kameelburg (AKA Ondurakorume) Carbonatite system.
