Nextech3D.AI (CSE:NTAR, OTCQX:NEXCF) CEO Evan Gappelberg talked with Proactive about the upcoming launch of FotoGPT, a revolutionary AI-powered imaging platform.
Gappelberg explained how the platform enhances product photos, supports lifestyle imaging, and offers applications in eCommerce, real estate, and digital advertising.
Proactive: The company is out with news talking about your spin-out company Toggle, which we've talked about in the past, and how you've rebranded now to really sort of take it to the next generation of what Toggle is. Is that fair to say?
Evan Gappelberg: It is. Toggle was initially created as an AI-first platform for use in the 3D modeling industry to apply textures to 3D models. It performed exceptionally well, boosting our production efficiency. As we developed the platform, we included photography in our roadmap and even have video features coming soon. Photography itself is fascinating; it began around 200 years ago with light-sensitive plates and evolved to digital sensors. But now, with AI-generated photography, traditional definitions of the medium are being completely disrupted. We're thrilled with the feedback we've received, and the platform's first launch is set for December.
So, tell me, who is this really designed for? Is it more for people who use photography to promote their products, or is it for the general public? What kind of test cases are you envisioning?
Our current technology allows users to enhance product photos by feeding them into the AI image generator. It can replace or customize backgrounds—solid, clear, or lifestyle settings. For example, in eCommerce, this makes processes more cost-effective and efficient compared to traditional photography setups. It’s also applicable to real estate for virtual staging, where empty rooms can be transformed into fully furnished spaces through text prompts.
The outputs are photorealistic, making it indistinguishable from reality. This sets us apart from competitors and gives us a strong competitive advantage. Beyond real estate and eCommerce, the technology is also useful in marketing, such as creating ad visuals for Instagram and Facebook. The platform enables rapid generation of new ad content, catering to diverse markets.
And just to clarify, that’s spelled F-O-T-O, FotoGPT, and it’s launching in December?
Yes. The launch is in two phases. The first phase in December involves an API allowing websites to integrate our technology, essentially white-labeling it for enterprise customers, particularly in the eCommerce sector. In Q1 2025, we'll launch a consumer-facing app on Apple and Google's app stores for individuals and small businesses.
