Happy Creek reports encouraging results from fieldwork in British Columbia

Happy Creek Minerals Ltd. (TSX-V:HPY, OTC:HPYCF) announced positive results from its 2024 reconnaissance fieldwork at the Silverboss and Hen-DL properties in south-central British Columbia.

Assays from 56 rock, 113 soil, and 17 stream sediment samples across the projects revealed anomalous copper, gold, silver, nickel, chromium, cobalt, and platinum values, according to the company.

A notable find on the Hen-DL property was a large ultramafic boulder with assays of 2,080 ppm nickel, 1,575 ppm chromium, 101.5 ppm cobalt, and 0.009 ppm platinum, potentially sourced from the unexplored area near the Eureka thrust fault.

The projects, which span 172 square kilometers and are contiguous with the Boss Mountain molybdenum mine, a former producer now owned by Glencore Canada Ltd.

“The 2024 field sampling program assay results provide further confirmation of the potential to discover a significant, district-scale, mineral deposit on the Silverboss and Hen-DL projects,” Happy Creek CEO Jason Bahnsen said in a statement.

“The discovery of a large mineralized boulder on the Hen-DL property containing high assay results for nickel, chromium, cobalt and platinum is a new and exciting development for the project and a further demonstration of the extent of mineralization on the projects.”

At Silverboss, grab samples yielded up to 0.112 g/t gold, 9.3 g/t silver, and 625 ppm copper, while additional samples showed anomalous gold mineralization south of the mine. Drill-ready targets in the area include the Horse Trail and 10 Mile Creek prospects.

Skarn mineralization at the Dike zone on Hen-DL returned assays of up to 1.45 g/t gold. Stream sediment and soil samples showed gold values up to 0.199 ppm and silver values up to 5.4 ppm. Along a recently built logging road, rock samples collected over 555 meters averaged 3.6 g/t silver.

“There are many drill-ready targets on the Projects including Horsetail, 10 Mile Creek, the Gus Zone and the 3km molybdenum anomaly on the claim boundary of the Boss Mountain mine,” Bahnsen added.

The company is targeting further exploration, including drilling, to assess the mineralized systems in these projects, which adjoin a historically productive mining area.
