ATOME PLC (AIM:ATOM) announced that IDB Invest, the private investment arm of the Inter-American Development Bank, has published a consultation on a proposed $200 million debt funding for its Villeta Project in Paraguay.
The figure mentioned represents an increase from prior discussions, underlining the project’s growing appeal. The update, carried on the IDB's website, also confirms the successful completion of environmental and social impact studies, a key step in advancing the project.
The funding will support the construction of a facility designed to produce 260,000 tonnes of green fertiliser annually. ATOME stated that the upgraded proposal highlights the project’s importance to IDB and Paraguay.
Debt funding proposals for the Villeta Project are now substantially oversubscribed, reflecting stronger-than-expected interest from institutional and multilateral lenders.
Construction, operating, and energy costs remain consistent with earlier forecasts, as confirmed by ATOME and its house broker, SP Angel.
