Ilika PLC (AIM:IKA, OTCQX:ILIKF) CEO Graeme Purdy speaks with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's progress on its Goliath solid-state battery program. Highlighting the D6 milestone, Purdy explained that the company has successfully built and tested 10Ah power cells. These cells are significant as they are larger than those made by some solid-state competitors and are crucial for pack designers incorporating solid-state cells into electric vehicle (EV) batteries.
Purdy also shared the next steps, including the upcoming D7 milestone, which will involve a design freeze and the production of prototypes for customer validation. He outlined the company’s ambitious 2025 development roadmap, including P1.5 prototypes in early Q2 and a 50Ah minimum viable product by year-end.
Addressing safety, Purdy confirmed that the high-performance safety features of earlier prototypes are being retained as the designs progress.
