Boohoo sees retail investors take up small portion of fundraising allocation

Boohoo Group PLC (AIM:BOO) has raised roughly £400,000 from a share offer to small investors, as part of the £39.3 million fundraise it announced last week.

The online fashion group, which issued the shares at 31 pence per share, said it will use the funds entirely to pay off debt.

Only 1.25 million shares out of a possible 19.35 million available in the retail offer were taken up, with the rest being taken up by institutional investors through a "clawback" process.

Boohoo said last week the fundraising was "oversubscribed", suggesting demand for the shares is currently mostly from fund managers.
