Wedgemount Resources announces remediation program for Texas assets

Wedgemount Resources Corp (CSE:WDGY, OTCQB:WDGRF) released details of an enhancement and remediation program targeting its recently acquired Huggy Asset in west-central Texas.

The program aims to optimize production from the Huggy asset’s wells through a combination of proprietary chemical treatments, well workovers, and infrastructure upgrades.

Wedgemount has expanded its operational capacity to two rigs and brought on additional contractors to support the initiative.

Surface facility optimization efforts include significant infrastructure improvements, such as the replacement of miles of pipe to handle increased production, Wedgemount said.

A cornerstone of the program is a well-stimulation treatment provided by San Antonio-based Valkyrie Specialty Corp. The eco-friendly chemical solution, described as non-toxic and non-caustic, acts as an antimicrobial agent, corrosion inhibitor, and emulsifier, designed to maximize reservoir stimulation.

Wedgemount’s Huggy Asset comprises 119 conventional vertical production wells, out of a total inventory of 136 wells. The company plans to apply the well-stimulation treatment to about half of Huggy’s wells over the next 12 months.

Wedgemount acquired the Huggy Asset earlier this year as part of its strategy to enhance production from existing oil and gas assets through targeted remediation and technological advancements.
