Nano One highlights focus on LFP commercialization during Q3

Nano One Materials Corp (TSX:NANO, OTC:NNOMF) reported its Q3 2024 results, highlighting significant progress in advancing lithium iron phosphate (LFP) production and technology licensing.

As announced in August, Nano One is streamlining its operations to focus on LFP commercialization with its One-Pot process for producing battery materials.

Nano One aims to license this technology globally to companies in the energy sector, creating shareholder value by expanding market reach through partnerships and enhancing revenue streams with licensing fees and equipment procurement, particularly through its partnership with Worley Chemetics.

Nano One’s facility in Québec, provides a commercial-scale production site with the capacity to serve LFP clients in automotive, energy, and US government sectors, and serves as a foundation for a larger “Design One, Build Many” growth strategy, the company highlighted.

In September, Nano One completed a $5 million sale of vacant land, with proceeds allocated to advancing its Candiac manufacturing facility and Burnaby, BC innovation hub, both central to the company’s growth and revenue plans.

Then in October, Nano One also received a substantial $12.9 million award from the US Department of Defense, under the Defense Production Act’s Title III program, to fund capacity expansion at its Candiac and Burnaby facilities.

Further, the company has amended its project funding agreement with Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) to focus on LFP development, reducing costs and aligning with Nano One’s core commercialization goals.

The company exited the third quarter with total net assets of $26.9 million and working capital of $10.9 million.
