Winking Studios (LSE:WKS) made a solid start to its career as a London-listed business as it moved to a 10% debut premium.
The games developer, which also has a quote in Singapore, raised £7.9 million on a £66 million valuation.
The placing of new AIM shares was supported by the company's majority investor, Acer Gaming, while Johnny Jan, the founder and CEO, and Oliver Yen, the finance director, also took part in the IPO funding round.
Jan said: "Dual Listing on AIM is a significant milestone in our 20-year history and I believe will serve as a powerful catalyst in our mission to become a global leader in video game art services.
"A London listing opens up a wealth of new opportunities, granting us access to a large pool of technology investors well-informed on the sector while enhancing our ability to expand our footprint and grow our client base across Europe and the Americas."
Placed at 15p each, the shares were quoted at 16.5p in early trading.
A game art and games developer, Winking Studios was founded 20 years ago.
Operating out of nine offices across Asia, the company collaborates with 22 of the world’s top 25 game developers, including major names like Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, Activision, and Tencent.
