Aclara Resources teams up with US Department of Commerce to identify optimal location for rare earth separation facility

Aclara Resources Inc (TSX:ARA, OTC:ARAAF) announced its partnership with the US Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration to conduct a study aimed at determining the best location for Aclara’s planned rare earth separation facility in the US.

The facility aims to help strengthen the US supply chain for critical minerals for high-tech industries and electromobility.

By collaborating with the US Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration’s SelectUSA program, Aclara hopes to find a location that aligns with its operational goals while contributing to US strategic objectives for securing independent access to rare earth elements.

The Location Study will evaluate potential sites for Aclara’s separation facility with a focus on operational efficiency, cost management, and project timelines, Aclara said in a statement.

"We are very pleased to receive the support from the US Government to find the location of our rare earth separation facility in the United States,” Aclara’s CFO François Motte said in a statement.

“Aclara believes that it can contribute towards securing a resilient and independent supply chain for rare earths, which are critical materials for electromobility and other key high-tech sectors of the US economy."
