Flutter weighs in with another (modest) upgrade to full-year forecasts

Flutter Entertainment PLC (LSE:FLTR) has raised its full-year forecast for the second consecutive quarter, attributing this to stronger-than-anticipated revenue growth from outside the US for the upgrade.

The Paddy Power and Betfair owner saw a 24% increase in core profits from its long-established brands in the UK, Europe, and Australia, reaching $392 million for the quarter.

In the States, where the company owns FanDuel, Flutter reported a "fantastic start" to the new NFL season with peak wagers per minute already higher than the Super Bowl.

The betting giant has nudged its guidance for full-year underlying profits by one percentage with the expectation of 35% growth at the mid-point of forecasts based on a 22% revenue lift.

CEO Peter Jackson said: "We believe that the group has exciting growth prospects due to our unparalleled leadership positions across the world, underpinned by access to the Flutter Edge.

"We expect to have significant capital to deploy over the coming years and I am excited to commence the share repurchase programme in Q4."
