BioHarvest Sciences Inc. (CSE:BHSC, OTC:CNVCF) began trading on the Nasdaq Global Market on Tuesday under the ticker symbol "BHST."
Shares of the company gained nearly 5% in early morning trading, reaching US$6 just after the opening bell.
The listing on the Nasdaq follows the company's trading on the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE), where it will continue to list its common shares.
Ilan Sobel, CEO of BioHarvest Sciences, called the Nasdaq debut a “monumental milestone” for the company, noting that it could heighten BioHarvest’s industry profile, improve liquidity, and broaden its shareholder base.
"I would again like to thank each and every one of our shareholder partners, whose continued support has played an important role in enabling our ongoing success,” Sobel said in a statement.
BioHarvest also announced that it will release its third-quarter financial results for the period ending September 30, after US markets close on November 25.
