Synchronoss Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:SNCR) announced it had renewed a three-year contract with a major French telecommunications operator.
The partnership will allow the operator, which serves over 27 million customers across France, to continue offering a suite of cloud-based services powered by Synchronoss Personal Cloud.
According to a release from Synchronoss, the extended contract enables the operator to enhance its high-speed, fixed, and mobile network offerings with a white-label personal cloud solution, designed to securely back up, sync, and organize a wide array of digital content for users.
The solution aims to drive customer engagement and boost average revenue per user (ARPU) by enabling tiered subscription options that cater to different needs, Synchronoss told shareholders.
“Expanding our long-standing partnership is a testament to our cloud platform and the value it delivers to this provider’s subscriber base throughout France,” said Jeff Miller, CEO of Synchronoss.
“We’re excited to enhance the cloud offering with new features such as Tagging, Backtrack and AI photo enhancements that the French carrier will use to drive further subscriber engagement, increase ARPU and reduce churn amongst its subscriber base.”
The Synchronoss Personal Cloud platform is purpose-built for telecom providers, incorporating advanced data security and privacy features. In contrast to over-the-top cloud services, it allows operators to tailor the service to their branding and add a range of customizable options that support incremental revenue growth through value-added and premium offerings.
