Oxford Nanopore Technologies PLC (LSE:ONT) gained over 6% on Monday after unveiling new chief product and scientific officers.
Rosemary Sinclair Dokos, who joined the nanopore sequencing products firm in 2014, has taken over as chief product and marketing officer, the company said on Monday.
Lakmal Jayasinghe stepped up to the role of chief scientific officer, Oxford Nanopore added, having been at the firm since 2007.
Their appointments follow the departure of chief technology, innovation, and product officer Clive Brown, who Oxford Nanopore said would support the transition, to pursue other projects.
“Rosemary and Lakmal have played an integral role in the research, development and execution of our technology vision for many years,” chief executive Gordon Sanghera said.
“They bring extensive skills [spanning] the most cutting-edge innovation to the deployment of mature products destined for regulated markets.”
Shares climbed 6.3% to 142.50p on Monday.
