Mila Resources PLC (LSE:MILA) has announced the completion of a field sampling programme at the Kathleen Valley Project in Western Australia.
Conducted by joint venture partner Liontown Resources (ASX:LTR), the programme involved collecting 15 samples from rock formations known as pegmatite veins, with analysis results pending.
Liontown conducted the exploration in collaboration with the Tjiwarl people, respecting culturally sensitive areas.
The latest assessment of the geology is expected to build on previous work, which included mapping, soil sampling, and aerial surveys.
The goal is to refine the geological model of Kathleen Valley, aiding in the identification of promising sites for future exploration.
"We are delighted to receive this positive update from Liontown, both that their communication and relationship with the Tjiwarl peoples is good, having allowed the team to take samples, and to see their exploration plans for our licence to take shape," said Mila director Mark Stephenson.
"We continue to stay in close contact with Liontown as they focus in on defining the southern extension of the Kathaleen Valley pegmatite belt, revealing the potential of the pegmatite swarms hosted on our land package.
