Small cap wrap: AuKing Mining and Equinox Resources lead small cap gains this week

Proactive’s Tylah Tully gives a wrap of the small cap sector this week, running through the top advancers on the ASX.

AuKing Mining Ltd (ASX:AKN) led small cap gains this week, surging by 133% mid-week before settling at $0.005 per share. The company, in collaboration with BSMC in Saudi Arabia, secured exploration licences for the Sha’ib Markan Project.

Rock chip assay results indicated promising gold mineralisation, with notable findings of 13.72 g/t, 2.97 g/t, and 1.3 g/t gold, aligning with historical data from the area.

Tryptamine Therapeutics Ltd (ASX:TYP, OTC:TYPTF) also posted gains, reaching an 18-month high of nearly $0.045 before stabilising at $0.04.

Equinox Gold (TSX:EQX) Ltdsaw a 40% increase, with $848,000 traded. The company reported significant assay results from its Alturas Project, including a 69.98% grade of antimony, which added $0.05 to its share price, bringing it to $0.175.

Evion Group NL (ASX:EVG, OTC:EVIGF) was up 40% this week, peaking at $0.038 before settling at $0.036. The company announced $2 million in initial sales from its expandable graphite operations in India, with production testing and approvals completed.

Finally, Merino & Co. gained 48%, reaching $1.01 per share with $633,000 in trades.
