BioHarvest Sciences Inc. (CSE:BHSC, OTC:CNVCF) said it has received approval from the Nasdaq Stock Market LLC for the listing of its common shares on the Nasdaq Global Market.
The company confirmed that it expects to begin trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “BHST” on Tuesday, November 12.
In the meantime, BioHarvest’s shares will continue to trade on the OTCQB and the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE).
BioHarvest’s chairman, Dr. Zaki Rakib, told investors that the move represented a “significant capital markets milestone” for BioHarvest.
“We believe this listing will serve to expand our potential shareholder base, improve liquidity and elevate our public profile in the industry - ultimately helping to enhance long-term shareholder value creation,” Rakib said in a statement.
Ilan Sobel, the company’s CEO, also celebrated the achievement, attributing it to the team's operational execution. "I am incredibly proud of the efforts of the whole team at BioHarvest, whose operational execution has positioned us to list on a senior U.S. exchange and tap into a global shareholder base,” Sobel said.
BioHarvest uses patented technology to grow plant-based active ingredients without cultivating the entire plant.
