On the day of voting for the next US president, shares in Donald Trump's media firm Trump Media & Technology Group Corp continued to recover from their recent lows.
After reaching $34.34 as the election campaign drew to a close on Monday, the stock was up another 15% to top $39 by Tuesday afternoon as voting gets underway.
Shares in the company, which owns Trump's social media platform Truth Social, topped $50 earlier in the year but fell into the teens in September as pre-election prediction polls fluctuated.
Former president Trump, the Republican party candidate, and Democrat opponent Kamala Harris are closely tied in the polls.
This may mean the race for the White House could come down to four swing states, Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, and may mean that the final election result is not known for several days, as it was when Joe Biden beat Trump in 2020.
Overnight, former President Trump finished his campaign trail in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he hailed the crowd at the last of his "big beautiful rallies" and said, "we will fight, fight, fight and we will win, win, win".
