Just the Facts: Strickland Metals advances Shanac testwork for Rogozna development

Just the Facts: Strickland Metals advances Shanac testwork for Rogozna development

Proactive’s Tylah Tully breaks down ‘Just the Facts’ of the latest news from Strickland Metals Ltd (ASX:STK).

The company has started Phase Two metallurgical test-work on a bulk sample from the Shanac Deposit, part of its Rogozna Gold and Base Metals Project in Serbia.

This follows a successful 2021 phase, which achieved recoveries of 85.9% for gold and 81% for copper via flotation processes.

The current phase aims to optimise metal recoveries and finalise the flowsheet for Shanac’s estimated 4.6-million-ounce gold equivalent deposit.

The 400 kilogramg sample will be tested in Perth, with results expected by mid-2025. These findings will inform a scoping study planned for late 2025, supporting Rogozna’s development.

Drilling continues across the Rogozna Project, with four rigs in operation. Anticipated assay results include high-grade intercepts reported in October, such as 43.4 metres at 4.6 g/t gold equivalent from 357 metres and 50 metres at 5.6 g/t from 271.5 metres.

The company highlights that despite challenges often faced with polymetallic deposits, prior test-work demonstrated effective recovery, supported by the region’s history of successful flotation processing techniques.

Strickland expects to provide further updates as additional results are confirmed.
