Emmerson PLC (AIM:EML) said it is starting legal action against the Moroccan government after its application for an environmental permit for the Khemisset potash project was rejected.

In a statement, the company said it had "formally notified the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco that there is an investment dispute between Emmerson and the Government".

Kodal Minerals PLC (AIM:KOD) has agreed an MoU for the transfer of the Bougouni lithium project to a new entity 35% owned by the government of Mali.

Once the transfer is signed off the Bougouni licence will be in full compliance with all legal requirements and in good standing, Kodal added.

Pan African Resources PLC (AIM:PAF, OTCQX:PAFRY, JSE:PAN, OTCQX:PAFRF) said it had successfully commissioned the Mogale Tailings Retreatment (MTR) operation with a first gold pour also completed.

Ramp-up is in progress, said the miner, with steady-state production and plant throughput of 800ktpm expected by December 2024.

Mila Resources PLC (LSE:MILA) has signed an exploration and option agreement over three gold projects in Queensland, Australia.

Under the terms of the deal, Mila will pay owner EMX Royalty A$25,000 upfront plus warrants and carry out A$450,000 (£230,000) of exploration work in the first year.

Rome Resources’ Bisie North tin project in the DRC is close to a C$1 billion play in Alphamin and shares many characteristics including its original geologists, notes broker Oak Securities.

Drilling is underway to establish an initial resource at Bisie North, but it is the proximity to Alphamin’s operations and the involvement of Alphamin’s original discovery team that catches the eye, says Oak.

Bradda Head Lithium Ltd (AIM:BHL, OTC:BHLIF, TSX-V:BHLI) has started reworking a new metallurgical particle sorting study on the composite samples collected in 2023 from San Domingo drill core using novel AI-based techniques.

The purpose of this new test-work plan, which builds on earlier metallurgical work in 2023, is to move Bradda Head closer to a potential production decision later in 2025, said the statement.

Results from the first four diamond holes indicated widths of up to 7.25m with one hole grading 3.48% and including a section at 7.7% total rare earth oxides (TREO).

Emmerson PLC (AIM:EML), the developer of the Khemisset Potash Project in Morocco, is reviewing its options following a setback to its Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) approval process for the planned operation.

After receiving an unfavourable recommendation from Morocco’s Commission Régionale Unifiée de l'Investissement (CRUI) and an appeal to the Wali of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, Emmerson was informed that the CRUI cannot re-examine the submission, and no further appeal options were provided.
