EGR Exploration Ltd. (TSX-V:EGR) announced that it has been selected to receive grant funding of up to $200,000 under the Ontario Junior Exploration Program (OJEP) from the Government of Ontario, which will be used to advance its Detour West gold project near Timmins.
The company said the funding will cover up to 50% of eligible exploration costs up to $200,000 incurred by the company at the project.
Funds will be used for a reverse circulation drill program targeting till and bedrock at the Detour West property, testing the western extension of the Detour-Fenelon trend.
EGR noted that it has secured permits for drill hole fences along two east-west structures identified in the 2023 high-resolution airborne magnetic survey.
“I am thankful for the province of Ontario continuing to run the OJEP program. It is a great way for exploration companies to receive meaningful support to advance early-stage projects,” EGR Exploration CEO Daniel Rodriguez said in a statement.
“This will be extremely helpful in advancing the Detour West project.”
