Paid subscribers to OpenAI's ChatGPT tool can now access a new web search feature.
The search feature, which will allow OpenAI to better compete with search engines like Google and Bing, provides real-time information about the weather, sports, stocks and more.
It will connect users with original web content, with results returning links to sources such as news articles and blog posts.
ChatGPT partnered with a number of global publishers on the feature, including Associated Press, Financial Times, Reuters and Time.
The release was rolled out to ChatGPT Plus and ChatGPT Team users on Thursday.
It will become available to users of the free version of ChatGPT in the coming months, OpenAI said in a statement.
