Plus500 posts revenue, user growth but tighter margins

Trading platform Plus500 Ltd (LSE:PLUS) has reported growth across key financial and operational metrics for the third quarter of 2024.

Revenue increased by 11% year on year to $187.3 million, while underlying earnings (EBITDA) rose by 2% to $82.2 million.

The number of new customers growing by 21% year-on-year to 24,922, while average revenue per user also went up.

Plus500’s EBITDA margin, however, fell by 8%.

Chief executive David Zruia stated: "Plus500 delivered further strategic and operational successes during the third quarter of 2024 as the Group continues to go from strength-to-strength across its global operations.

‘Underpinned by a strong financial position, the group remains strategically well positioned to capture both short-term market dynamics, as well as the longer-term structural growth trends in its end markets, as evidenced by the strong momentum seen during 2024 to date."

Plus500 cited the United Arab Emirates and Japan as growth markets for the business.
