Small cap wrap: Nova and Astral surge on significant drilling intercepts

Proactive’s Tylah Tully gives a wrap of the small cap sector this week, running through the top advancers on the ASX.

Nova Minerals Ltd (ASX:NVA, NASDAQ:NVA) saw a significant increase of 35%, reaching a weekly high of $0.275 per share before settling at $0.26. This surge followed positive results from its Estelle Gold Project in Alaska, with notable gold intersections at the RPM deposit. Highlights included 29 metres at 7.1 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from the surface, with high-grade sections of 3 metres at 32.2 g/t from 17 metres and 2 metres at 52.7 g/t from 19 metres.

Polymetals Resources Ltd (ASX:POL) gained 30%, reaching $0.56 per share, while Ora Banda Mining Ltdrose by 14% to $0.91 per share. Energy World Corporation (ASX:EWC) Ltd surged 74%, closing at over $0.025 per share despite no specific news.

Advance Metals Ltdgained momentum following the announcement of its acquisition of the Yoquivo Project, with a Foreign Resource Estimate of 17.23 million ounces of silver equivalent at 570 g/t.

Astral Resources NL (ASX:AAR) advanced 20% throughout the week, moving from $0.12 on Tuesday to $0.145, following high-grade drilling results at its Kamperman Prospect, with a notable intercept of 3 metres at 177 g/t gold.
