HeLIX Exploration PLC (AIM:HEX) told investors it is ready to start testing, now that it has completed cementing the production casing at its Clink #1 well, part of the Ingomar Dome Project in Montana’s Helium fairway.
The casing was run to a depth of 8,130 feet and the company will now proceed with perforating and testing multiple formations.
The next phase involves running cased-hole wireline and testing from the bottom upwards. Subject to results, it's planned that an extended well test will follow.
Helix noted that any gas recovered during this process will be sent to an external laboratory for composition analysis. If initial results are promising, the company will advance to an extended well test.
"With Clink #1 cased and target reservoirs safely behind pipe, we are delighted to be moving on to the testing phase of the operation,” Helix chair David Minchin said in a statement.
“The initial findings in the Amsden, Charles, and Flathead formations look very encouraging, and I am optimistic about the potential that these formations hold. We look forward to updating the market with first gas to surface."
