Drilling by Torque Metals Ltd (ASX:TOR) has expanded the gold zones at Paris Project in the Western Australian Goldfields beyond the existing recently defined mineral resource estimate, with positive results from reverse circulation and diamond drilling.
Torque managing director Cristian Moreno said, “Delivering the recently defined mineral resource estimate of 250,000 ounces at 3.1 g/t gold at the Paris Gold Project has undoubtedly been a significant achievement for Torque Metals and as ongoing drilling activity indicates, Torque is well on the path to expand the gold inventory of this high-quality asset.
“Our objectives are to extend mineralisation beyond the current resource boundaries, to upgrade MRE inferred resource blocks to indicated and explore regional targets, outside MRE area, that are exhibiting strong gold-in-soil anomalies and historical drilling intercepts."
Poised for resource growth
Moreno said, “With the outstanding results we continue to report – such as 8 metres at 4.72 g/t gold in hole 24PRC123 and 7 metres at 7.92 g/t gold in hole 24PRC148, within an interval of 15 metres at 3.85 g/t gold – Torque is highly confident the Paris Gold Project is poised for growth in resources.”

RC drilling
Torque has received partial results from its RC drill campaign at the Paris deposit, where 7,416 metres of RC drilling has been completed across 39 holes.
Results demonstrate mineralisation is open, extending up-dip into shallower zones and supplementing the gold inventory of the recently released Paris Project MRE.
The company continues to receive strong grades, with assay results returned from most recent RC extensional drilling program at the Paris deposit including:
- 4 metres at 1.37 g/t gold from 91 metres, 2 metres at 1.8 g/t from 98 metres and 8 metres at 4.72 g/t from 134 metres in hole 24PRC123, including 4 metres at 9.15 g/t from 136 metres;
- 7 metres at 7.92 g/t from 216 metres in hole 24PRC148, within an interval of 15 metres at 3.85 g/t from 216 metres;
- 9 metres at 2.37 g/t from 136 metres in hole 24PRC151, including 2 metres at 9.29 g/t from 140 metres; and
- 2 metres at 1.27 g/t from 69 metres, 4 metres at 1.24 g/t from 79 metres and 5 metres at 1.02 g/t from 139 metres in hole 24PRC130.
Torque expects further results from the remaining 22 RC holes for around 4,300 metres of drilling at Paris in the coming weeks. The company has now started metallurgical test work on core recovered from Paris and expects results next month.
Diamond drilling
Torque completed 1,105 metres of diamond drilling metres across five drill holes at the Paris deposit and one drill hole to 100 metres at the HHH deposit.
The diamond drilling program extended known mineralisation up-dip towards shallower depths, with the structural data obtained providing valuable insights guiding the now concluded RC drilling program.
Assays from the final two holes included:
- HHH Deposit - 8.85 metres at 1.88 g/t gold from 66.8 metres and 2.47 metres at 1.05 g/t from 79.20 metres in hole 24DHHH004, replicating previous shallow gold distribution; and
- Paris Deposit - 9.12 metres at 2.39 g/t from 224.7 metres in hole 24PDD006.
