Power One Resources (TSX-V:PWRO) has announced the appointment of Dr Wazir Khan, an experienced geologist with more than three decades of experience in the mining and exploration industry, as CEO.
Power One noted that Khan's extensive experience in geology, mineral exploration, and project development will be vital at this stage of growth, with his focus on strategic initiatives to expand the company’s exploration projects.
"We are thrilled to have Dr Wazir Khan step into the role of CEO," Power One independent director Fraser Rieche commented. "His deep industry knowledge and leadership skills will be crucial as we move forward.”
Khan, a member of the company’s board, will take over the position of CEO from Karim Rayani immediately.
Rayani has also resigned as a director but will remain a member of the company’s advisory team.
Rayani said Khan’s appointment as CEO would bring “fresh vision and energy” to Power One.
“His extensive experience having worked around the world taking projects from greenfield through feasibility will be of great importance to Power One as we develop the portfolio,” he said.
“I look forward to continuing my involvement in Power One in an advisory capacity, supporting the team as they drive the company's strategic objectives."
