FirstGroup PLC (LSE:FGP) has acquired London-based coach firm Anderson Travel to strengthen its First Bus division.
The purchase, for an undisclosed amount, includes around 40 coaches operating in central London and Heathrow Airport, covering school transport, private hire, mini coach services, and tours.
Mark Anderson, founder and majority owner of Anderson Travel, will remain in charge of daily operations as the business integrates with First Bus.
FirstGroup has been expanding its coach services with recent acquisitions. Its CEO Graham Sutherland highlighted plans for continued growth and diversification.
Anderson Travel, which operates from depots near Tower Bridge and Heathrow, reported earnings of £1 million on £7.3 million in revenue for the year ending June 2023.
