Cerillion climbs back towards all-time highs after record year for new contracts

Shares in customer relationship management software group Cerillion PLC (AIM:CER) climbed 3.5% after it flagged solid trading in the second half of its financial year to follow the record revenue and profit in the first.

Ahead of the publication of final results next month, the billing, charging and CRM software provider said it made roughly £43.8 million of revenue in the year to September, up 11.7% on last year as new orders signed were "significantly greater than in any previous year".

Adjusted profit before tax is expected to be "comfortably ahead" of the analyst consensus of £17.9 million and the £16.8 million generated last year.

Net cash of £29.8 million sat in the bank at the financial year-end, up from £24.7 million a year earlier.

Cerillion said the full benefit of its new orders, including a €12.4 million win with Virgin Media Ireland last November and an $11.1 million contract from May in Southern Africa, is still to come through.

It said the new financial year has started with a "robust back-order book and a strong sales pipeline".

The shares rose to 1,791.1p, still a way off the all-time highs around 1,970p reached in August.cert
