Robinhood Markets Inc (NASDAQ:HOOD) has launched its long-awaited desktop trading platform, 'Robinhood Legend', and added futures and index options trading to its mobile app.
The fintech company, which became popular with retail investors, is now aiming to compete with traditional brokerages by expanding its services to cater to more experienced traders.
Robinhood Legend offers advanced tools, real-time data, and custom layouts, while the app now allows users to trade futures in the S&P 500, oil, bitcoin, and more.
With competitive pricing, Robinhood charges as low as 50 cents per contract for Gold members, positioning itself below industry peers like Charles Schwab and E*TRADE.
Robinhood, which reported 11.8 million monthly active users, continues to focus on profitable growth as its stock has surged over 100% in 2024.
