Adriatic Metals PLC (LSE:ADT1, ASX:ADT, OTCQX:ADMLF) has appointed interim boss Laura Tyler as chief executive and managing director on a permanent basis after a unanimous agreement by the board.
Tyler had joined the precious and base metals developer as a non-executive director in July, before being appointed interim chief executive a month later.
“On behalf of the board I am delighted to announce the appointment of Laura Tyler as chief executive,” chairman Michael Rawlinson commented in a statement.
“The board has undertaken an extensive search for Adriatic's next leader and is pleased to announce her appointment as the board's unanimous choice.”
She had worked at BHP Ltd for 20 years, including in the roles of chief technical officer, chief geoscientist and chief of staff to the mining giant’s chief executive.
“Laura has an abundance of experience in underground, polymetallic mining operations and executive leadership roles over a 35-year career,” Rawlinson added.
Tyler highlighted the “extraordinary potential” of the Vares Silver Operation in Bosnia & Herzegovina, adding she had spent the past two months working on site.
“I am excited to take on the role of chief executive in a permanent capacity and take Adriatic onto its next phase of growth,” she said.
