Millennial Potash sees bright future as US-Gabon relations strengthen investment and infrastructure initiatives

Millennial Potash Corp (TSX-V:MLP, OTCQB:MLPNF) chair Farhad Abasov told investors that the company is excited about the strengthened partnership between the US and Gabon, the site of Millennial’s flagship Banio potash project.

In a joint statement released by the US Department of State, the US and Gabon announced a strengthened partnership following meetings between US officials and Gabon's Transition President, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema.

The discussions marked 64 years of diplomatic relations and outlined plans to boost economic, environmental, and security cooperation.

“As the US champions Gabon's dedication to free and transparent elections and the restoration of civilian governance, we're witnessing a wave of transformative initiatives designed to boost foreign investment in the country including numerous infrastructure initiatives which are in progress,” Millennial’s Abasov said in a statement.

The US recognized Gabon’s commitment to a democratic transition, offering support through the ADAPT initiative for election administration and voter education. Economic ties will be strengthened, with the US Chamber of Commerce facilitating business meetings and the US International Development Finance Corporation exploring further investments, building on its $500 million infrastructure commitment.

The partnership also focuses on securing critical mineral supply chains, with the US providing technical cooperation. In addition, the two nations aim to enhance security through US assistance in maritime security and defense initiatives, including training for Gabonese forces.

Millennial’s Banio Potash Project is expected to play a key role in transforming agriculture across Africa, aligning with Gabon’s growing attractiveness to foreign investors amid its political transition.

“MLP's Banio Potash Project is set to transform agriculture, not only in Gabon but throughout Africa,” Abasov told investors, “and together, the US and Gabon are paving the way for significant foreign investment opportunities, fueling infrastructure growth and economic progress, and this renewed collaboration promises a bright future for the region."
