Electric Guitar PLC (AIM:ELEG) CEO John Regan talked with Proactive about recent developments in their 3radical platform, including its deployment of NFC technology at the Grand Designs Live event.
Regan highlighted how the platform enables seamless data collection from exhibition attendees, linking physical and digital interactions with clients.
Proactive: I'm joined by Electric Guitar PLC (AIM:ELEG) CEO John Regan. John, very good to speak with you, and there's been some exciting developments at 3radical.
It deployed its Voco platform with near-field communication technology at the Grand Designs live events in Birmingham this month.
So another milestone for the platform.
John Regan: Yes, it is, and this is actually a development of the technology that we created with Jewson.
The key here is that businesses are very keen to talk to people in a face-to-face experience and also to connect with them online, digitally, while knowing that they are talking to the same person. This technology enables that.
Whether people are in-store or, in this case, at an exhibition stand, they can easily launch a 3radical experience that captures their data.
Proactive: Could you explain a bit more about the NFC technology involved?
John Regan: Yes, if you're not familiar with NFC technology, it allows you to use systems like Apple Pay or Google Pay, where you just tap your card. It's the same here.
There's a place for people to tap, and immediately, a 3radical experience appears. For example, at the Grand Designs event, we offered a "spin the wheel" game, where participants could win discounts on home decor products.
In return, we collected their email addresses and permission to follow up with offers. It’s simple and effective, especially at busy events.
Proactive: How does this benefit the businesses involved?
John Regan: It's a great way for businesses like Home Decor to gather customer information directly from the stand, which can then be added to a database for future communications.
It removes the need for salespeople to manually collect data, which could then be lost. This process is streamlined and can even be automated with CRM systems, where follow-up emails are sent immediately.
We're excited to expand this capability, possibly incorporating QR codes into physical advertising campaigns like coasters or TV ads.
Proactive: I also saw on LinkedIn that you’ve announced a 3radical integration with Mastercard's SessionM loyalty platform. Can you share more about that?
John Regan: Yes, Stephen, that's correct. We've had a relationship with Mastercard in APAC, where they have been reselling our products to their clients, such as banks and football clubs.
Recently, we've expanded this partnership to include their Boston office, working with their global clients. The integration allows Mastercard’s clients to use our 3radical gamification platform through SessionM, a CRM platform that promotes customer loyalty.
We’re excited about the benefits this brings to Mastercard’s clients.
Proactive: You also mentioned some developments related to Engagement Intelligence. Could you elaborate?
John Regan: Sure. When we acquired 3radical a few months ago, we identified a significant data asset. The data collected through the gamification platform has been stored and anonymized.
We've now developed a product from this called Engagement Intelligence, which allows clients to analyze interactions in detail and predict outcomes based on previous engagements. It’s still in the early stages, but there’s a lot of potential here.
Proactive: It sounds like Mastercard is a great partner for you.
John Regan: Yes, it’s an exciting partnership, but we are keeping many details under wraps for now. Mastercard is very protective of its brand, so while we’re pleased to work with them, we won’t be sharing too much publicly at this time.
Proactive: Thank you for the update today, John.
