easyJet PLC (LSE:EZJ) has appointed Jan De Raeymaeker as its new chief financial officer to take over from Kenton Jarvis, who will take on the chief executive role from January 2025.
De Raeymaeker is currently the chief financial officer of European private rail freight operator Lineas.
Prior to this, he held the same position at Brussels Airlines.
"We are delighted to appoint Jan De Raeymaeker as our chief financial officer,” said easyJet chair Stephen Hester. “Jan has good experience in the airline and transport sectors as well as strong continental European reference points."
De Raeymaeker said: "I am excited to be joining easyJet at this important stage in its growth journey."
Jarvis added: "I am delighted that Jan will be joining easyJet in January 2025. His financial and commercial acumen will be critical as we continue to build towards our medium-term targets."
De Raeymaeker joins at an optimistic time for easyJet - the group is expected to showcase a record-breaking summer when it reports its full-year financials in November.
