Adriatic Metals production unaffected by Bosnia storms

Adriatic Metals PLC (LSE:ADT1, ASX:ADT, OTCQX:ADMLF) said the production ramp-up at its Vares mine has not been affected by the recent storms and subsequent flooding in the central and southern regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The storms, which occurred on 3 October, resulted in short-term water management issues at the Rupice mine and the Vares processing plant but these were effectively managed, with production continuing as planned, according to a statement.

More substantial damage was inflicted on the railway line that connects Sarajevo to Ploce Port in Croatia.

Due to this damage, concentrate product will instead be trucked to Ploce Port until the railway track is fully repaired and operating safely.

Concentrate was trucked to Ploce Port earlier this year so Adriatic expects no impact on ongoing operations.

Additionally, Adriatic said it is working closely with the local civil protection authorities and the Red Cross to assist with affected local infrastructure in Vares, including removing road obstructions.

Adriatic will be respecting the Day of Mourning on Tuesday 8 October, which has been declared in the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the recent floods and landslides.
