North Bay Resources Inc. (OTC:NBRI) has announced promising assay results from the Mt. Vernon Gold Mine in Sierra County, California.
Underground sampling revealed impressive grades, including up to 5 ounces per ton of gold, 1.5 ounces per ton of platinum, and 0.5 ounces each of palladium and rhodium.
The assay data, verified by Enviro-Chem Analytical Laboratory, supports previous findings and indicates significant potential for platinum group metals alongside gold.
The sampling, conducted over a 230-foot stretch, was completed in preparation for upcoming bulk tonnage mining.
The company plans to extract 497 tons of ore from four tunnels for direct shipment to its Bishop Gold Mill, which has proven efficient in separating and concentrating these metals.
The Mt. Vernon Gold Mine, largely undeveloped, features a 200-foot-wide gold-bearing zone with the potential for high-grade extraction, as evidenced by earlier sampling that consistently returned grades above 1 ounce per ton.
With a total estimated ore body of 954,000 tons, North Bay Resources is poised for significant mining operations at this promising site.
