Endeavour Mining PLC (LSE:EDV, TSX:EDV, OTCQX:EDVMF) has appointed senior BHP executive Sonia Scarselli as its new Executive VP of Exploration from the start of December.
Scarselli is VP at both BHP Exploration and BHP Xplor, leading its global exploration programme and the exploration Accelerator Programme respectively.
She replaces Jono Lawrence, who is leaving at the end of the year following a transition period, and will head gold miner Endeavour’s exploration programme.
FTSE 100 member Endeavour added that with the appointment of Scarselli, its executive committee will be composed of ten members, 30% of which will be female.
Scarselli joined BHP in 2012 having started her career at ExxonMobil.
