Powerhouse Energy Group PLC (AIM:PHE) told investors it's 'extremely pleased' with the progress at its Technical Centre in Bridgend, Wales.
The company, in a statement, noted that it has taken delivery of the site’s Instrument Air and Nitrogen Generation package, following previous shipments of key components such as the Thermal Conversion Chamber (TCC) kiln and the gas treatment system.
Civil works for the ground flare base, nitrogen tank, and produced water tanks are on schedule, with the installation and commissioning of the system expected to be completed between the mid-to-late fourth quarter.
Powerhouse noted that it has also relocated its demonstration unit (FTU) from Chester to Bridgend, further consolidating operations at the site.
The FTU can transform 2.5 tonnes of waste into syngas daily.
Initially, it will serve as a platform for research and development, as well as investor and customer demonstrations. The company is also evaluating potential commercial uses for the technology.
"I am extremely pleased with the progress we are making on the FTU build, whilst we continue to maintain our schedule and budget,” chief executive Paul Emmitt said in a statement.
“This is a hugely significant milestone for the company as having a fully operational technology centre will undoubtedly help provide us with even greater impetus to our pipeline whilst further innovating the services that we can provide.
“We look forward to providing further updates as we progress towards completion in Q4 this year."
