Anglo Asian announces agitation plant restart at Gedabek gold mine

Anglo Asian Mining PLC (AIM:AAZ, OTC:AGXKF) has confirmed that agitation leaching has resumed normal production at its Gedabek mine in Azerbaijan after a twelve-month halt.

The resumption follows authorisation to raise the wall of the mine’s tailing dam on 5 August 2024, when the commissioning of the restart of its agitation leaching plant began.

This commissioning has now finished and the agitation leaching plant has resumed normal production, Anglo Asian added.

During the commissioning period (until 30 September 2024) the agitation leaching plant produced 523 ounces of gold doré.

Anglo Asian added that the group remains on schedule to restart its flotation processing in November while the first production from the new Gilar mine is scheduled for December.

Agitation and flotation operations at Gedabek have been suspended for a year due to the process of getting approval for the increase in tailings capacity.
