Proactive’s Tylah Tully breaks down ‘just the Facts’ from Walkabout Resources Ltd (ASX:WKT) latest ASX announcement.
The company has secured two sales orders totalling 800 tonnes of graphite in September from its Lindi Jumbo Graphite Project in Tanzania.
Over 60% of the order volume was for coarse flake graphite, with the direct customer, Wogen Group, paying 80% of the assessed final value. The pricing for these sales was consistent with earlier announcements, ranging from US$1,080 to US$1,600 per tonne for coarse flake graphite (94%-95% total graphitic carbon, TGC), and US$500 to US$750 per tonne for fine flake graphite (90%-95% TGC), with marginally lower prices for sales within China.
This milestone marks the beginning of regular, large-volume sales, positioning Lindi Jumbo as a reliable producer of high-quality graphite concentrate. Walkabout expects further sales as the company ramps up production to meet market demand and approaches nameplate capacity.
