Giyani Metals Corp (TSX-V:EMM, OTC:CATPF) announced that two of its top executives have increased their shareholdings in the company.
CEO Charles FitzRoy acquired 86,200 ordinary shares of Giyani at an average price of C$0.091 per share. Following the purchase, FitzRoy holds 86,200 shares, representing approximately 0.03% of the company’s issued share capital.
CFO Eugene Lee also expanded his stake, purchasing 100,000 shares at an average price of C$0.101 per share. Lee now holds nearly 1.95 million shares.
In a statement, CEO FitzRoy said he was “honored” to be the CEO of the Giyani team, calling the present moment “an incredibly exciting juncture” as they advance development of the K.Hill manganese project in Botswana.
FitzRoy highlighted key milestones achieved over the past two weeks, including the issuance of the K.Hill mining license and advances in the company's Demonstration Plant.
“The purchase reflects my confidence that the company will continue to deliver on key objectives to become a leading producer of high-purity, low carbon footprint battery-grade manganese,” FitzRoy said in a statement.
The CEO also noted that the commissioning of the Demonstration Plant in Q4 2024 would accelerate discussions with potential offtake partners, positioning Giyani to tap into the growing electric vehicle market.
