Majestic Corporation turnover nearly doubles as co remains optimistic on the outlook for the business

Majestic Corporation Plc (AQSE:MCJ) posted an impressive 92% increase in revenues in the first half as it said it was 'cautiously optimistic' about the outlook for the remainder of the year.

The firm, a specialist recycling group, has its operations focused on three main areas: consumer and professional electronics, catalytic converters from vehicles, and base metals found in electrical equipment.

These processes yield a wealth of valuable elements such as copper, aluminium, gold, silver, platinum, cobalt, graphene, and nickel.

In the six months ended June 30, Majestic generated turnover of $25 million - to put that into context this almost as much as it made for the entirety of 2023. In doing so, the business generated $1.2 million in pretax profit.

"As industries continue to prioritise sustainability and seek to secure control over critical resources, Majestic's expertise in precious and industrial metals gives us a clear advantage," said chairman and founder Peter Lai.

"Whilst growth in the second half will not be of the same magnitude, the combination of our strategic agility and market insight ensures Majestic's sustained growth and long-term success."

Earlier this month, Majestic agreed to acquire Telecycle Europe, an affiliate company, for £2 million from Lai, which will enhance the company's UK footprint.

Looking ahead, the company said it remained "cautiously optimistic" about prospects. "Majestic's ability to adapt quickly to market changes positions it as a leader in the evolving recycling sector," chairman Lai said.

"With rising barriers to entry, growing demand for recycled materials, and fewer mines opening, Majestic is poised to capitalise on these trends.

"As industries continue to prioritise sustainability and seek to secure control over critical resources, Majestic's expertise in precious and industrial metals gives the Company a clear advantage.

"This combination of strategic agility and market insight ensures our sustained growth and long-term success."
