Oriole Resources sees more good widths from Mbe trench work

Oriole Resources PLC (AIM:ORR) said the latest trenching results from its Mbe prospect indicated more signs of gold mineralisation.

Results were from six further trenches with four in the MB01-S sub-prospect, which returned extensive mineralised widths from the channel sampling.

Intersections in each of these four trenches (north to south) included 51m at 1.02g/t gold (trench 007) and 88m at 0.71g/t, including 30.00m at 1.18g/t (008).

Other results, from trench MBT005 and partial results from MBT004, targeting a third, smaller, gold-in-soil anomaly 500m to the east of MB01-N, also returned an intersection of 7.00m at 0.60g/t gold.

The remaining results for MBT004 and from the Phase 2 infill trenches are expected early in the next quarter and will help shape a maiden drilling programme.

Martin Rosser, chief executive, said: "The trenching results at the MB01-S sub-prospect, which covers a larger area of soil sample anomalism, are highly encouraging, being over substantial widths.

This is especially true for trenches MBT007 and MBT008 which are mineralised to varying levels over the majority of their entire length of 540m and 532m respectively.

"The results have reinforced our view that Mbe has strong potential to become a significant gold discovery.“

BCM International is currently funding up to US$4 million in exploration expenditure at Mbe.
