Graft Polymer (UK) PLC (LSE:GPL) chairman Dennis Purcell speaks with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about his new role and the company’s future in the biotechnology space. With over 40 years of experience in life sciences, first as an investment banker and then as a venture capitalist, Purcell brings valuable expertise to Graft Polymer, especially in mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
During the interview, Purcell emphasised the opportunities in addressing unmet medical needs, particularly in mental health. "Mental health is going to be one of the areas that we must tackle going forward," he said, highlighting the potential for advancements in treatment-resistant conditions like PTSD, depression, and addiction.
