Construction group Galliford Try Holdings PLC (LSE:GFRD) has been awarded an £88.9 million contract to complete the South East Aylesbury Link Road (SEALR) project for Buckinghamshire Council.
This entails building a 1.1-mile dual carriageway featuring three new roundabout junctions. This new stretch will link the A413 Wendover Road with the Stoke Mandeville Relief Road, providing motorists with an alternative route and easing traffic in the town centre, while alleviating congestion.
CEO Bill Hocking said: "The Local Authority sector is a key focus for our Infrastructure business, and we have a strong track record in constructing major link roads throughout the country.
"We look forward to working with Buckinghamshire Council to deliver the high-quality infrastructure that will make a real difference to the local community."
