Oxford Metrics falls to six-year low following profit warning

Oxford Metrics (AIM:OMG) shares fell off 22% on Monday in response to a profit warning.

The ‘smart sensing’ software company declared that adjusted profit before tax will be “materially below current market expectations” for the current financial year.

“Globally, we are seeing customers across our markets exercising greater caution and purchasing decisions are taking longer to conclude,” said Oxford.

As a result, “A number of opportunities in the pipeline have now shifted into the new financial year”.

Shares collapsed to a six-year low of 62p.
