Galliford Try wins second AMP8 water utility framework contract

Galliford Try Holdings PLC (LSE:GFRD) has been appointed as a contractor to two lots (1 and 3) on the new Wessex Water Capital Delivery Framework, part of the AMP8 delivery period.

The framework is valued at £3.7bn in total and is expected to be worth more than £400m to Galliford Try over its initial six-year period.

Lot 1 is for designing and building mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, and automation (MEICA) and civil engineering projects, and Lot 3 as mechanical and electrical as a contractor for capital maintenance projects.

The award follows Galliford Try's recent appointment to Southern Water's capital programme framework in a contract worth approximately £500million to the business.

Bill Hocking, Galliford Try’s chief executive, commented: “The significant increase in activity anticipated in the water sector is a key part of our sustainable growth strategy."

The AMP8 regulatory period for the UK water sector starts in 2025 and runs until 2030.
