Thursday is the big day next week with FTSE 100 stalwart Halma and water utility Pennon the standouts of a steady few days for scheduled announcements.
Another notable event will be Flutter's capital markets day on Wednesday with a slew of possible catalysts for the share price expected, according to brokers.
"Capital allocation, US guidance, FanDuel and tax, addressable market (TAM) upgrades, US opportunities and the Snaitech acquisition" will all be under scrutiny reckons UBS.
On the economic front, flash estimates for the UK economy on Monday are set to show contractions in both manufacturing and services according to the forecasts.
Overall, the number is set to drop to 53, from 53.8, which still indicates growth albeit at a slower pace.
