Just the Facts: Tempest Minerals begins fieldwork at Five Wheel Project

Proactive’s Tylah Tully breaks down ‘Just the Facts’ from Tempest Minerals Ltd (ASX:TEM) latest ASX announcement.

It has begun fieldwork at its Five Wheel Project in the Warburton Mineral field, Western Australia. The exploration activities include geological mapping, sampling, and a geochemistry program. Drilling has started at the Remorse target within the project.

The Five Wheel Project is located near the Earaheedy Zinc Project, which has a mineral resource estimate of 94 million tonnes containing 2.1% zinc and lead, and 4.2 grams per tonne silver. Another nearby discovery was made by Strickland Metals, but no official resource estimate has been confirmed there.

Key features of the Five Wheel Project include geological units linked with base metal mineralisation, historical soil results showing up to 1,113 ppm copper and 847 ppm zinc, and its strategic location near significant mineral resources.

The company has also secured funding from the State government’s exploration incentive scheme, to be used for a geophysical survey planned for next year. Geochemical results from the current fieldwork are expected to be released later this year.
