Falcon Gold Corp (TSX-V:FG, OTC:FGLDF) announced that it has commenced drilling at its Great Burnt copper project in Newfoundland.
Falcon holds 2,275 hectares in the Great Burnt camp, with licenses located north of and contiguous to Benton Resources’ Great Burnt copper-gold joint venture.
The company said it has completed 8 kilometers of additional road to the drill site from the government access road shared with Benton Resources.
Drilling will initially test 10 geophysical anomalies with plans to extend the program once the necessary government approvals have been received, Falcon CEO Karim Rayani said.
"We are excited to have our inaugural drill campaign underway at our Great Burnt project,” Rayani told investors.
“The magnetic signature suggests that Falcon controls the northern extension of the same magnetic feature that Benton Resources has had recent success in drilling and sampling.”
